So... every day I take a few minutes to read all my friends' blogs who've written since the day before (I usually have at least 1 update to read, I love the days when there are several). I love reading what others are up to, their adventures & their thoughts [even the ones that DRIVE ME CRAZY - Sara this is for you ;)]. A few weeks ago, I got a message from a friend via our blog - they noticed our blog somewhere else - the title of my last post "Late Breaking News" it was from 6 months ago and how funny that was, insert red face here - it's now been more than 7 months since I've posted YIKES. Every day I wish I could find the time to write/update our blog, but then life gets in the way - there are diapers to change, meals to make, laundry to wash, toys to pick up, dishes to do, homework to help with, my own "job" to do, my church calling... as anyone knows the list is endless.
Then yesterday hit and so did a bit of inspiration. As we were de-mucking (I'm not sure if this is a real word or not, but frankly I don't care, it's what we were doing) a certain area of the house that had been neglected a bit too much lately and my thoughts were wandering to just how much I HATE our current church time (1pm - DOUBLE UGH!) and just how much it ruins my Sunday and how I can never seem to get anything done of value on Sunday - TA DUH (I do mean DUH, it's not a typo or miss-spelling - just in case you are wondering) - my blog. So here's my thinking.... If I get up with the kids (which IS sleeping in from any weekday) I get them "settled" for the morning (breakfast & whatever else needs to happen), with no bus to catch & office work to do, then maybe just maybe I could take time for myself to sit in front of the computer and do what I've been wanting to do lately - blog.
Since I started this to be our family journal of sorts, it's time to get going (again), 7 months is just too long for an update. So here's my highly ambitious plan - 2 blog posts each week - 1 for the current week & 1 flashback to document things I wanted to during the time that I was wanting to blog & not finding the time, and maybe I'll even surprise myself and pull this off, but if not I'll keep trying to find time to document this grand adventure we are on.
Today I am grateful for sunshine. We've had a LOT of rain lately and the sun really does make a difference!
As someone who has to attend bishopric (and other) meetings before our 9:00a church time, i have to say that i’d come pretty close to killing right now for a 1:00p start time.
